Welcome to Dani's Space

Let me tell you what I've been up to...

Hello there!

I am a postdoc at the University of Tokyo. I work on developing machine learning methods for Bayesian inference in astrophysics and cosmology. You can see a selected list of my publications here and a full list here. My CV is here.
TL;DR:

  • 2021-2025: PhD in Physics at Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa, where I applied machine learning — emulation in particular — to accelerate Bayesian inference pipelines on cosmic dawn and epoch of reionisation observations.
  • 2020-2021: Master's at the University of Toronto modelling fast radio bursts (FRBs) — high-energy extragalactic transient events — with the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME).
  • 2017-2020: BSc at McGill University in Honours Mathematics and Physics.
